It is advisable, of course, to buy this lens for crop. Because it makes no sense to use such optics on a full frame. On the crop, it gives 80 mm, which makes it an ideal portrait lens. It will be an ideal option for beginner photographers, although this can be argued. I myself am familiar with several professional photographers who have this particular lens in their fleet, which once again confirms that it is more than worthy. For portraits, this lens is just a godsend, but be careful with the aperture. I often shoot macro with it and get good shots, although it is not intended for it. I don’t recommend it as a regular lens, as there will be not enough space in the room. I bought it as a second lens after the whale 18-55. It's like buying a new camera! Completely new possibilities open up. I have been using the lens for more than a year, so I can sensibly and objectively assess its merits. It's definitely worth buying! (Unless of course you are the owner of 50 1.4 or 50 1.2) Pays for itself completely. The disadvantages of the lens are dictated by its price.
