This bird house is the solution to my problem. Easy to install and clean. Also, my birds can't sit on it, so they can't mess it up with poop! I have 3 dirty lovebirds. Two of them always want to nest. I have a small coconut shell for them to nap in, but they always prefer a larger nest. Over the years they have soiled every fabric hut I have provided. The main problem is that they sit on it and poop on it. No matter how many times I cleaned it, no matter how high I caged it, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't keep their huts clean. And the smell was terrible! I end up having to kick the cabin out and buy them another one just for them to keep pooping and ruining it. I decided to search Revain and found this plastic birdhouse. It looked good but I was skeptical. However, the price wasn't bad, so I decided to give it a try. Of course, my lovebirds were appalled by this, but they had no choice but to accept it. As night fell, two of them went in to check it out. I put strips of newspaper in the box. Initially, I didn't put a green curtain in front of it so they could get in and out faster. A week later I installed a green lampshade and they liked it even more. What's great about this hut is that 1) it's plastic so it's easy to clean, and 2) the top is rounded, making it hard for them to sit on and poop. I installed it on top of the cage so there isn't much space between the top of the hut and the top of the cage. It comes with a small plastic bar on the outside and small round windows on the sides. You can use the plastic plug that came with the kit to cover one of the windows, but I didn't use it to give them more light. I absolutely love this wonderful product and more importantly my dirty lovebirds love it too.
