I used these to make fruit skewers for my son's birthday party. When putting fruit on skewers, I got splinters from the tips of the skewers. I did not cut or break the skewers, I took the pieces straight out of the packaging so you may need to grind, sand or trim the bottoms before use. Also, you can definitely buy skewers cheaper at the store, but the price isn't bad for having them shipped straight to your door.
