Product received, the bamboo skewer is very good, on the second day I go to the suburbs for a barbecue with friends. I used these to make fruit skewers for my son's birthday party. When putting fruit on skewers, I got splinters from the tips of the skewers. I did not cut or break the skewers, I took the pieces straight out of the packaging so you may need to grind, sand or trim the bottoms before use. Also, you can definitely buy skewers cheaper at the store, but the price isn't bad for having them shipped straight to your door.

If you look closely at the photos the skewers appear to be made of a much heavier metal. A quick look at the reviews (which I didn't do before buying because I foolishly relied on a 4.5 GPA) will tell you a few things: They're skinny, they're sharp. These skewers are EXTREMELY sharp. So much so that I stabbed myself pretty badly within 10 seconds of removing the red safety tip from the shrink-wrapped packet of skewers.
