No drawing board. This is a bookend without side brackets

The bottom rail/edge of this "drawing board" is too high off the table (2.5 inches!) and too big/sticks out too far (1 inch) for it to someone can draw or write correctly (in this case calligraphy). You can't position your hand properly unless the bottom bar/lip is in the way. Apparently it's just a bookend with no page brackets, re-lettered and slightly overpriced. It's well made and attractive, but NOT a drawing board. I'm not sure it would make a good bookend except for very thin books. To return.
