I use this to hold some small minnows and it's honestly an amazing design. I started by planting a few plants on a hydroponic lid but gave up because the roots would not grow downward. However, I found it to be the perfect size for feeding the fish, so I just use the hole for that. The filter is well thought out down to the smallest detail, if necessary the filter can be replaced. It's actually just foam and I'm perfectly happy with it. That makes the water really clear! my minnows feel comfortable in this tank and have already spawned several times, which makes them feel comfortable in it. The only thing I would remove is an unnecessary phone holder as I don't see much use in it.
