I think this humidifier does the job - humidifies your room quite effectively and lasts all night when you need it. The soft rainbow light is also very suitable as a night light. It's quite an attractive device in the room. that's where the positives end. Where this particular humidifier fails is in the design - there are *so many* cracks and crevices for mold to grow in, and this particular unit grows *quickly*. clean. Not only are there many hard-to-reach spots on the underside, but the central "tube” through which the mist flows is nearly inaccessible for cleaning. Plan to get a bottle brush if you even want to stand a chance there -- otherwise it's completely out of reach. Even if you clean your stuff carefully, you'll have to clean this humidifier *daily* if you don't want it smelling fish tank. accidentally leave water in it for a day longer? You will almost certainly find some dirt in it when you clean it. What I associate most with this humidifier is long vinegar baths trying to remove gross mold from tiny inaccessible cracks around the nozzle and base area. Conceptually, this humidifier is good, but in practice, its design is lame and extremely difficult to keep clean. unsanitary unless you have extreme obsessive-compulsive disorder and lots of free time.
