I love this - not only did I get it for my own child but I have gifted it to others. This is such a creative way for a child to learn how to write in a tactile/sensory way. The included magnetic pen easily picks up the balls into the allocated spots. There are numbers and arrows showing the lines that make up the letter and the direction and order in which they should be written. So much better than the sandpaper letters I would trace my finger over as a child! The only drawback I feel is that while the pen has a slot it can click into when not in use, there should also be a string to tether it to the board. I foresee this getting lost and then what? The board becomes a bit obsolete at this point. Every child I have given it to has enjoyed playing with it and I even find their adults spending time tracing the letters.
