This roaster is gorgeous and works for everything from roasting a chicken to making scalloped potatoes and ham. It’s the perfect piece for both cooking and serving. The lightweight materials are superior to older ceramic styles and makes it a much more likely to be a dish that you find yourself reaching for with regularity.The design of this piece is classic and works with just about any table styling. The clean lines make this perfect for a minimalist look, but the retro aesthetic also ensures that it will work well for everything from farmhouse to vintage. The lid is basic, but attractive and while it doesn’t make the tightest seal, it does a wonderful job of keeping items warm until they’re ready to be served. My only complaint about the design is in reference to the handles. The handles are fairly narrow and are not comfortable to fit your hands into when wearing oven mitts. Additionally, the very edges of the handles are quite thin and I have some minor concerns about them chipping over time.A few things to keep in mind about this roaster are that it’s best to handwash for longevity and that despite the lightweight materials, it can still get heavy. I do not recommend washing this in the dishwasher as it will reduce the lifespan of the pan. Thankfully, the nonstick surface is very easy to clean. Even after burning potatoes in a cream sauce onto the edges of this pan, after a light soaking, they all wiped right off. The other important thing to note is that while the pan itself is a very reasonable weight, once full, it still gets quite heavy. If you have limited upper body strength or dexterity, be aware and consider getting two smaller pans instead of this quite large one.Overall, I would highly recommend this roaster. It’s beautiful, works for just about everything, and feels quite high-quality.
