Very durable and practical splash guard to clean your mini split

A few years ago I cleaned my mini split for the first time and without a water collection kit it was a big problem. It was such a fuss and mess that I didn't clean it thoroughly enough because there was a lot of cleaner and water on the walls, ceiling and floor. No wonder this summer my unit's performance dropped at the beginning of summer and the fan wheel started making a rumble. I knew it was time to start cleaning again, and I would have regretted not taking on the task when it got really hot here in Texas. This time I wanted to clean it properly, so I found this article while looking for a way to collect all the detergent and water I would need to get the job done. I found this cover to be very well made, durable and reliable Splash guard and water trap for cleaning the mini split air conditioner. The indoor part of my air conditioner is mounted high on the wall with a slight clearance from the vaulted ceiling. So I was concerned about how well this product would work in my situation. I found the packaging fit securely on the indoor unit and I was able to confidently spray on the evaporator cleaner and then rinse off with plenty of water without worrying about damaging the paint on the wall/ceiling or wooden floors underneath. This product is really well thought out. . As you can see in the manufacturer's video, there are small plastic inserts that can be used to prevent water from dripping behind the block and behind the bag. I thought it would be a one time use but it was so effective I dried it up and saved it for next time. Now the fan wheel and evaporator fins are working properly, and the unit blows cooler air and is very quiet. like new! So glad it got done as the pace ramps up to 105F this week!
