Overall this is a great chair for the price. The plastic seat is solid, works up/down and is visually nice if like me you get a flashy color like orange. Complain now. The assembly is very easy, but the four Allen screws loosen over time. Plan to keep that little wrench in a nearby drawer. Next: no brakes. I'm on a hardwood floor so I bought a plastic office mat to slow things down after realizing it, but long story short this little seat wears out. It's fine if you want to dash across a room while seated, but it gets annoying when you're picking something up on your desk and slide back a few inches. I have my foot under one of the wheels, which I'm sure I'll regret one day. Finally, the shape and contours of this seat are comfortable at first, but they also "lock you in" and prevent real shifts in position that can give you a sore spot here or there when you're sitting all day. I understand that the holes mimic the design (old metal tractor seats), but the lack of any sort of "contact" ventilation can introduce unwanted humidity(?) when sitting in a warm office all day. on your butt i know i'm sorry But several other people I know have reported similar results. If you don't mind retightening the screws from time to time, this is a five star product if you have frequent up and down cycles and a surface like a very short rug.
