The boots are cute, comfortable and lasted about 3 months. As you see from the picture the sole separated from the boot and the leather finish separated from the shoe. Early on the sparkly patent leather showed separation from the finish. These are children's boots and I didn't see anything in the description indicating they were 'dress' boots or 'not for play'. At the $40 price point, I would expect them to last until she grew out of them. They are described as 'combat' boots.
