Works perfectly. Having used over 10 old style mechanical 110v cabinet door switches (to a 110->12v power supply) the design of which hasn't changed in decades (they are actually a lightbulb socket that I screwed an adapter into to fit 2 pin plugs), I couldn't find these anymore. Since I really don't need a 110v switch for a row of 8' x 6' tape strips with 12v leds in my large bedroom pantry, I decided to give it a try, although I'm a little apprehensive about the 3- W limit was. since my LEDs consume probably 7-12 watts. This switch works great and I was able to get it working within 5 minutes. Contrary to what another reviewer here concluded, the two pieces don't have to touch to break the circuit (and turn off the light) - they respond once they're within 2-3 inches of each other. Ideal for the closet. /cabinets etc.
