Inconsistent but generally good value

The service life of these lamps varies greatly. The first one I tried lasted a good three months, the second only a few weeks in the box. The same pattern repeated with the next box: one bulb worked maybe 2 weeks, the other probably worked &gt; 3 months. I use them on my red-eared slider and they work 12 hours a day. I've used lamps from other, more expensive brands and had the same experience, so this is the best value for money I've found.
