A lightbulb on heat lamps and terrarium mats

Good bulbs, no problems with the hours of use by other reviewers. Note: Always handle these lamps with care: I never touch them with my bare hands.

Pros
  • There's something in there
Cons
  • Empty

pear exploded on my turtle

i woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of a mini explosion and found that this pear had exploded in my turtle tank. sharp fragments inside and outside the tank. the turtle was in an uproar, my foot was bleeding from stepping on a piece of onion. and I was given 2 hours to clean to make sure the turtle was safe before I put it back. She doesn't seem hurt, but we'll see if she calms down

Pros
  • understandable even at the old
Cons
  • high price

Inconsistent but generally good value

The service life of these lamps varies greatly. The first one I tried lasted a good three months, the second only a few weeks in the box. The same pattern repeated with the next box: one bulb worked maybe 2 weeks, the other probably worked > 3 months. I use them on my red-eared slider and they work 12 hours a day. I've used lamps from other, more expensive brands and had the same experience, so this is the best value for money I've found.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • The list would be long.

The last 3-4 weeks - nonsense.

All nonsense and getting worse. I started buying them as an alternative from the local pet store as they didn't last more than 2-3 months. Have ordered them about 4-5 times and with each order it seems to get worse and worse. I started jotting down the dates to track it down to make sure it wasn't my imagination. I have two bearded dragons, one for each habitat. I exchanged them at the same time and documented the data. Luna lasted 3 weeks and Lizzie lasted 4 weeks. I swapped them both out and…

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Boring packaging
