This product is simply amazing. I love how the horsehair is tied to the tree. This gives the brush a very sleek look, unlike some brushes it has a white plastic layer that holds the brush together. The softness of the bristles suits me. HOWEVER, wood tends to splinter in humid environments. When the brush arrived I left it in the bathroom before using it to see how the wooden part would hold up to the humidity. After a week the wood became very rough. I had to sand and apply coconut oil to get it back. After I've started using it daily, I sand, oil and leave the oil on every few weeks. Until the tree broke. I see it cracking, but unless you take care of it regularly. Tip for keeping your brush dry: Instead of hanging it up after each use, lay your brush horizontally, horsehair down. This will help drain the water away from the wood and reduce the likelihood of the wood cracking.
