I had an Ecovacs N79 robot vacuum for a few years and really liked it and then it died. I wanted to upgrade to something that could show a map and be more accurate as I walk around my apartment. I saw that this one had 2.0 mapping, whatever that means and it seemed like a significant upgrade over my old model. It couldn't find the dock for the first few days and died in the middle of my small, studio-size apartment. I have almost nothing on the floors blocking it and it's in a great location. It's supposed to "record" the apartment and show where it's supposed to be vacuuming, but the sections will still be dirty when I go and check. Several times when I was at work, alerts would be sent to my phone saying it had a bumper failure or the battery was low and couldn't find the dock. Return home and just find him dead in the middle of the room. My half-price N79 could beat this vacuum, which I was hoping was almost double the price. I have returned this vacuum cleaner and will receive the Ecovacs 901 model, I hope I have no problems with this model. I liked my N79. The suction power of the N79 was great and it always picked up hair and dirt. I have a cat and it has worked really well. By the way, this would hardly be full if you worked 30 minutes to an hour and then said that it was done. I know my N79 records a lot more. Overall if you're thinking about getting this to suck and map. Do not do that. On the plus side, the app was easy to use and connect, and I enjoyed getting notifications on my phone. It was also a pleasure to connect my Google Home to it, but I know the new N79 or an updated version just doesn't show all of this. I love Ecovacs and would love to try staying with them. As you can see, I have nothing but good things to say about my previous vacuum, but this one just isn't for me. Thanks. further
