Our local meteorologist advised everyone to get one and I finally found the time to do so. It has multiple ways to charge, including a manual crank, and I just leave it at home by the window and it stays charged there. It has a bright flashlight in case of power failure, finds local stations, has a weather channel and warns of storms. Luckily it hasn't been shut down, but our area has had a history of tornadoes and flooding, and the weather is getting worse. We will also take it on camping trips where we are not on our regular network and unable to pick up our regular weather channels. I feel a little calmer with this little radio.
