I installed this in my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Jay Kay Sport. I live in a fairly large Midwest metropolitan area of over 2 million people and live in the suburbs. Reception isn't as good as the original antenna, but it only really affects weaker stations. I receive transmissions from most stations without interference. I cleaned all the "locks" off the original antenna which made very little difference. I'm considering returning the old antenna because my favorite station happens to have a weaker signal than others in town. It looks way better than the original, so it will be a tough choice. I would like to know if there are any mods to make it more efficient, like putting foil in the base to ensure a good surface bond (possibly stupid, I'm not an electrical engineer).
