Description of AntennaX Off Road 13 Inch Antenna Wrangler

fits 2007 thru 2021 Jeep Wrangler JK JL & Gladiator JT. Replace your ugly factory (31 inch) metal shaft antenna with this stylish yet functional LOW PROFILE (13 inch) flexible rubber antenna. PLUG-N-PLAY installation, which means it screws onto your existing antenna mount (a direct bolt-on part, no wiring involved) and takes a minute to do. 99.9% of the time reception stays the same OR improves. Does not affect On-Star, Bluetooth, GPS Navigation, or Sirius XM radio as those Satellite services use a separate antenna in your vehicle.

Lost Reception With Electronic Car Accessories

All VHF signals are lost. Reception. I live only 20 miles from Washington, DC and I have many radio stations in my house with very strong signals. Normally I can get them all crystals. It's clear as I'm over 100 miles from home as I drive towards the east coast of Maryland. But when I attached this antenna to my jeep, there was a lot of interference on all my stations. I installed the factory antenna and the reception was clear again. Hard to believe, but I have the best reception since no. I…

Reception not as good as original antenna

I installed this in my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Jay Kay Sport. I live in a fairly large Midwest metropolitan area of over 2 million people and live in the suburbs. Reception isn't as good as the original antenna, but it only really affects weaker stations. I receive transmissions from most stations without interference. I cleaned all the "locks" off the original antenna which made very little difference. I'm considering returning the old antenna because my favorite station happens to have a weaker…

Cons
  • No performance

So far this AntennaX is absolutely worth the money. I was able to install it myself (which I usually leave to my friend). It came in a nice package, although it was pretty self-explanatory, some people might prefer the instructions were included (which wasn't the case). Screw the side one that lines up with the antenna hole and screw the other side to the car antenna connector. It was easy.I did my 2 minutes before work in the parking lot.I still had my stations.First I heard hissing but shortly

Read reviews - not just 5 stars! Terrible reception!

I live near Chicago, Illinois (which I think has more radio stations than any other city in the country) and Rockford, Illinois. After a quick install, I can't hear 80 percent of the stations that I could hear with the stock antenna. This antenna is absolute junk and the manufacturer's claim that 99 percent of users get the same or better reception is just plain misleading! This is only tolerated by people who don't listen to the radio at all and only care about how it looks or who don't have…

Updated rating after 2 months! AntennaX looks and sounds amazing

Update! I have had this short antenna for over 2 months now. The first photo was taken on the day of installation, the second today. He didn't move. I live in a very rural area in Texas. I had no problems with reception. I've read a lot of reviews on here about the pickup and it could be because the coupler doesn't fit fully, if it doesn't fit there is no pickup. Try the solution below and you won't notice any problems. I really hope this helps. This is a great product and it's so nice not to…
