Removing a shower stall from the wall is hard work. Even many of us tree shade carpenters take a break before doing basic plumbing work. With these Danco showers, the handles fail first. The cartridge is fine, but the "teeth" on the inside of the handle are softer than the corresponding teeth on the cartridge. So the grip starts to slip, and as it does, it loses its grip more and more. With these new handles you can drastically extend the life of your shower. I recommend them.
