I first purchased this item with a $10 credit, which reduced my total cost to $3.23 (including tax). I liked this product because I wanted an easy way to fill ziploc bags with liquid containing ingredients (like soups) for freezing. Someone commented in a previous review that they didn't like that the item had no clues. That's true, but this article is pretty easy to figure out without a guide. The item is made of hard plastic and is open at both ends and the green rubberized end fits into the pocket. If you pour liquids into the holder and the rubber piece slips a little into the pouch, the liquid will seep underneath and begin to fill the pouch. This can be important when trying to maintain measurement accuracy when using the device. Personally, for the sake of accuracy, I would take a larger measuring cup and pour the contents from it into the fountain pen. Due to the light color, the measuring scale on the sides can hardly be seen. It would be better if it was a darker color and a bolder print. Over time, the measuring guide is more likely to wear out through use and washing. For me this is not very important, but for someone else it can be an obstacle to the deal. All in all, this is a device I will not be returning, especially as the shipping cost will likely break the price I paid. While I'll keep it handy and use it as much as possible, I'd be disappointed if I paid full price. (And yes, I realize I wasted a $10 Revain loan.) In fact, a fair selling price would be around $5 or less.
