Review on πŸͺ“ Protect and Carry Your Camper's Axe with Style N Craft 94-027 Axe Head Sheath by Chris Nako

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not suitable for a standard boy's ax without pre-soaking.

I ordered three of these cases to use with two boys axes and a camp axe. The trunk bag is roomy and fits all three heads (2.25-2.5 pounds, Michigan model) but the straps were too short to attach without getting wet and stretched. I managed to stretch and tighten the leather strap enough to use both latches on the boys' ax handles, but I could only reach one of the latches with the camp axe. Not sure if I can use both clips on the axles after drying, time will tell. At the same time the latches are strong and for most applications a closed latch is sufficient. For a good fit, I recommend protecting the ax head with a plastic bag before wet fitting the scabbard, allowing the scabbard to dry completely on the head, and then oiling. Overall the sheath is well made and if the straps were a half inch longer it would be 5 stars.

  • Stylish and modern design
