Review on Bosch U12BC Multi Purpose U Shank Jigsaw by Bill Lyons

Revainrating 5 out of 5

More about the most commonly used blades.

Almost everything from Bosch is great; I don't think it's an argument. But it's a particularly good set because you tend to get short, thin blades with a higher than usual level of "wood clean". Personally, I have so many different types of saws that I only really use my jigsaw when I need to make turns or make two cuts, so I almost always use a clean (and short, flimsy) blade. In the meantime, my other sets of knives - mostly from Bosch - include "speed" knives that are cheaper to produce and that I use much less often. They also last longer so I have a spare from previous sets. I'd get a pack of their thinnest blades with the highest number of teeth. If only they could make a "diversity" deal with you. Don't hate me because I love Bosch. I'm sure other big brands make great blades too. But I'm just as sure that, by and large, regular blades often let you down. You can't go wrong here.
