Works as intended - switch and relay

I installed this temperature switch to run the fans on my aluminum heatsink. I installed it in my SBC's water pump port. I had to use an adapter to fit this connector. The switch claims to actuate at 185ft and release at 175ft, according to my Milwaukee temp gun its deflection is about 5 degrees. Within the margin of error, IMO, my heat gun showed that it fires at 180ยฐ and shuts off at 170ยฐ. If they claim it, they have no idea how taped threads work, or they wasted so much tape that the mechanical engagement of the threads was compromised. The tape is designed to break and plug gaps without affecting thread engagement. If you want to make sure the switch is properly grounded to the engine block, connect all your wires to a jumper with an alligator clip across the terminal and touch the other end of the switch housing (not the metal you plugged it into). will test for good ground. If you need a temperature switch I would recommend this item, it works great as it should.
