I want this to fit 1/2" to 3/4" drywall and only half the screws. 52mm is great for regular drywall or other sizes. (see photo) Longer - no. You would be free. But maybe one day there will be some unique applications in thinner fiberboard or thick foam blocks. Through experimentation I found that the short 32mm in the drywall can somehow stretch and work, but it doesn't stay straight and is difficult to cut. I'm pretty sure they are for thinner fiberboard. (I think I've seen an M4 between 38mm and 48mm that can work in drywall.) Having a tool also makes the installation a lot more sensible. I'm glad I have the tool. I would give it 5 stars if they outlined the best uses for each (for a handyman) rather than forcing me to experiment and use multiple screws. I love molybdenum bolts way more than other drywall inserts.
