Review on ๐Ÿ”ช Freud 10" x 24T Thin Kerf Rip Blade (LU87R010): The Ultimate Multi-Purpose Cutting Solution by Chris Wagner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fantastic value. Cuts exotic like butter.

I'm a professional carpenter and I'm tired of wasting my exotic woods on sawdust. I typically use super thin 7 inch blades for super thin raw material for projects, so having the thinnest sharp blades is important to me. Some boards end up too tight and the thin blades flex resulting in a bad rough cut which I usually fix. in the next step, but more often than not it ends up not saving valuable wood to dispose of. With a wood that thick, I'm faced with the fact that I have to use a standard 10 inch rupture disc. I use Diablo 24 teeth 10 inch all the time but decided to give it a try. Thin kerfs aren't super thin, but how many thin kerfs I make in a 12 inch wide board means I get 1-3 more dresses and it cuts cleanly no flex; just like the thicker Diablo blade. It's twice the price, but when I'm working with ebony and ironwood, it makes a big difference in reducing waste. I'll still use the cheaper 10" Diable blades for regular wood, but it suits the budget and special needs. Highly recommend.
