I have always trusted Totes, but I have to say that this umbrella has disappointed me. I've found that I can quickly see how good an umbrella is when it opens after I've pressed the auto open/close button. When it first opened I didn't get that initial solid feedback that you get as things expand. Now it could be the spring in the rod, but I could tell that was weak. While it was roomy and offered adequate protection from the rain, it didn't fare well on windy days. As the wind picked up, this umbrella loosened and appeared ready to turn inside out. It felt unstable and didn't give me confidence against the rain. A little breeze would move the umbrella and almost rip the umbrella out of my hands while I'm looking at the person next to me and they don't move the umbrella. Needless to say, this umbrella is used as a spare in the trunk of a car.
