Review on 🏎️ ICBEAMER Red Heavy Aluminum Drifting Racing Style Gear Shift Knob - Real Carbon Fiber, Manual, 5/6 Speeds Pattern by Christopher Wiggins

I was hoping this would fit a 2012 Chevy Cruze but it didn't. The shift linkage on this car is 11.75mm in diameter and is knurled rather than threaded. The largest plastic insert did not fit. Even if it were, the tapered base leaves no room for reverse - it would be impossible to engage the car backwards as the set screws are too high to leave a gap. Since I have to drive the car I removed the shifter housing/boots with a plastic spatula and trimmed the reverse ring to allow the car to engage backwards and I didn't use the plastic inserts and opted to install the screws directly into the knurled shifter linkage. It works now, only the rear plastic part on the base is ugly - at least I can drive again. A constructive solution for this car would have been to not narrow the base metal, shorten it by positioning the set screws at the same height as the base and make a 12.5mm plastic insert/larger stem hole. It can be made to work, but it cannot be installed immediately. Update - this workaround didn't last long - ended up filling the body with jb-weld and drilling and hammering it out with a drill press with a 7/16 bit. I do not recommend this part for this car model.
