First off, this product is designed to work with Kirby and does the job perfectly. However, if you want a thorough cleaning, you should opt for a different device, as well as a carpet shampoo. The Kirby itself is designed for dry foam shampoo only and for quick drying where you vacuum it after drying. For a much deeper cleaning, you need a completely different machine. But I'm happy with this product, it did exactly what I thought it would and the bonus is that it smells nice and is light weight and not too strong.
