All O-rings lubricated before installation (silicone O-ring grease from car dealerships or hardware stores). Place the tubes in hot water to soften. Only used the parts I needed (half atomizer) to place the inlet/outlet on the back of the tank. Fill the reservoir to the top of the upper media compartment before placing it on top (approximately one gallon). Turned on and pushed the plunger 2-3 times, the pump immediately rose and blew a small amount of residual air through the spray tube. No leaks. Very, very quiet. Plenty of flow to gently circulate in a 55 gallon tank (didn't look for a washer).
