The camera cover (which opens and closes) is thin enough to allow the laptop to close/sleep, which is a problem with other camera covers. One part that didn't make much sense was that the bottom part of the screen fell out when closed. I've found that using the included sticky "bumpers" in the form of small pieces of tape (instead of bumpers that can be wrapped around the bottom corner on the back of the display case) works fine. The privacy component is very effective. At lower brightness levels, only the user directly in front of the screen can see the screen - a bit problematic when using it for presentations, but the cover can be removed.
