Review on LG 32UN500-W 31.5" Virtually Borderless Monitor with 3840x2160p, Anti-Glare Display, Built-In Speaker, and Wall Mount Compatibility by Ajay Schmidt

This is a good monitor.

I have to say this is a good monitor. But it has a few problems: 1) Every LG monitor seems to have a joystick, and my old LG monitor's joystick doesn't work that well. This new one isn't much better, in fact I'm worried it won't last as long as my old one. 2) HDR. Oh HDR. The implementation of HDR in this monitor is REALLY not great. There is always a large amount of black level artifacts. It gets worse depending on the actual formatting of what you're watching, but it ranges from slightly annoying to almost unacceptable. 3) Still having a Displayport and 2 HDMIs is literally the bare minimum for me. More ports would REALLY be welcome, but LG seems to be sticking with that configuration. 4) rear stand mount, works, but only. The mount is just too loose for comfort. Every time I move that damn screen, even if I'm just cleaning it, I worry that it's going to detach from the mount. I know the original design for vesa mount must be good. But mounting it on the included stand is easy, but it doesn't feel stable. Even if it is mostly like that. It just looks cheap.

Pros
  • ‎Silver/White
Cons
  • Difficult to adjust settings.
