Review on πŸ”Œ White Bosch 00610087 Door Cable: Durable and Reliable Option by Gary Duncan

When a contractor uses &#*@* drywall screws

Some work was being done in our kitchen. The Trusty Bosch dishwasher had to be disassembled and reassembled. Three months later, the door swings open with a dull bang. The internet has diagnosed the problem and found that some have cited the dreaded drywall screw as the cause. Bought these, they looked like an exact replacement. To replace them, you need to pull out the dishwasher and lay it on its back. We found the remains of drywall screws right where the cable had snapped. The contractor must have lost the original striker plate screws or simply used his weapon of choice. Sigh. This is a good replacement except the cord is slightly shorter than the original. To be fair, Amazon has warned that this part may not be compatible with our model number. The door doesn't open fully horizontally due to the shorter cord, but that's enough for now. Maybe they stretch with wear.
