"Not suitable for dogs such as terriers, which usually appear slim but have a large upper body. (Like a Jack Russell or my Giant Decker Terrier). I even went up a size just to be sure and although this made the jacket too long in the back, it's still too tight around the chest and is difficult to close with some effort. I wish they had a more accurate sizing chart or better yet a style that could be adjusted. This can be solved by using a different type of attachment at the front. I'm sure all Pitbull owners will appreciate it too! Although it's a nice and very soft jacket, my dog gets frustrated every time I put it on because he feels too tight in it (and he can't stay buttoned up because of the tight fit). And believe me, she loves sweaters and coats because her hair is very short and she gets cold easily. If your dog has a smaller chest than mine then I would say this is a very good jacket for the money.
