A little longer but worked well

I bought these for my 2011 Nissan Titan after my wife's hood fell on her head. I've done the same thing to myself a few times, but when it happened to her, the rules of the game changed. I tried changing them one by one and got very frustrated. The new stands were about 0.25 inches longer than the old ones. Maybe in my younger years I could squeeze one of them a little and hold it there to put it on, but no more. I spent 15 minutes on this. I paused to think about the situation. Then I found a solution. There was enough room for the hood to go further up if I removed the other brace. My wife held the hood while I removed the other brace. The hood isn't very light, but she was able to hold it up easily while I installed the new struts. I believe they are stronger than the originals. If I open the hood halfway, it goes up the rest of the way. The racks have only been installed for about a month, but so far there has been no noticeable deterioration in performance. Checking the oil level is no longer a risky business.
