I have another French easel that I have from the 1980's. It's a bit heavy and I thought I'd pick this one as I figured it would weigh half as much since it's half the size. It isn't, but that's not my complaint. This easel is not well made. I lost a couple of wing nuts and they won't stay together when I close them making shipping a nightmare. I've had it for a year and a half now, it closes while I paint and needs to be buckled when I'm wearing it! Spend a little more money and get something that will last.
