I wanted something to cover my nose and mouth while riding 4 wheelers in the winter and figured a neck gaiter would be perfect. I was right and wrong.I've never used a gaiter before and while it works very well I didn't think about my long beard getting in the way. With a long beard, when you first pull the gaiter over your head it goes on easy, but once you pull it down under your chin (and beard) it's a bit of a pain to pull back up without pushing your beard into your face. Not the fault of this particular neck gaiter, just something to be aware of in general for gaiters if you have a long beard. As far as the Thermajohn neck gaiter in particular, it's fleece lined and very comfortable. I don't get cold very easy, so for me it's plenty warm for temps down into the single digits. It stays in place on my nose pretty well, but of course does need adjusting sometimes if you're moving around.Overall I'm happy with it and would recommend it.
