It would look really good in a different setting - I'm sure. One star off for the instructions. They come on a tiny piece of paper and contain few details. If you don't know anything about the wiring in your home, have a licensed electrician do the installation for you. Overall I think this is a good solid build with accurate (warm white) LED light. It looks like it's made from a single piece of extruded aluminum (ad says it's die-cast) - an elephant could probably stand on it and not hurt it. Relatively thin wire (red, blue, and yellow/green stripe) is used compared to the electrical wiring in our home (white, black, and bare copper ground). where it is open to LED "beads". I've posted a few photos from different angles with the lights on and off. My application was in a hallway where no one could see it - I think it doesn't go well with my space. I was able to rotate it 90 degrees to diffuse the light sideways. In my area it doesn't matter. I could imagine they would be better used in commercial settings: a few on the walls around an open floor plan, or a few evenly spaced in a long hallway amid contemporary decor as supplemental or accent lighting.
