Bought a mattress topper for the guest room. Since we have a guest bed, we didn't care how comfortable the mattress was in the room. That all changed when I got the flu and isolated myself in the guest room hoping my husband didn't catch the germs. It was a hard night sleeping on a cheap mattress in this bedroom. I woke up the next morning determined to find a solution without investing in a brand new mattress for that room. I read some great reviews of this mattress pad brand and decided to give it a try, we would have lost $40 at worst. Came in the mail in a vacuum pack. The instructions state that you open the topper, lay it out and it will take up to 24 hours for it to open to its full size. I noticed that after 30 minutes it went from flat like a pancake to thick and full. I waited until that night to sleep on it so it wasn't in the package for 8 hours max 10. It made such a HUGE difference. It feels like sleeping on a brand new mattress. I spent two more nights doing this until I recovered and was ready to go back to my bed. Unfortunately, despite my best efforts, my husband became ill. He spent a few nights in the guest room so his coughing and snoring wouldn't affect my sleep and he remarked how much more comfortable the mattress is now that we have a memory foam topper. I hope that it continues to keep its quality and if after a few months I realize that it is no longer working well I will update my review. Note that memory foam takes time to return to its original shape after someone has sat or lay in bed. It won't grow two inches right away, so don't expect it. Plus, it was worth the small price it took to make the bed more comfortable to sleep in, so it's worth the investment.
