The BOODA perch is always made with high quality, it doesn't look like a manufacturing defect. The item sent was worn on the edges of the rope near the point where the four segments "intersect". I didn't see a fight until 2 weeks post birth when I fully expanded the sections and started manipulating them to fit my parrot's cage. If I had checked it better on arrival I would have sent it back straight away but of course the shipping cost still wouldn't count. This seller appears to deal in "second quality" items and I will not be buying from them again.
