valla I dig it up.

Great set so far. There are no problems opening and closing the hood. I bought these racks for my 2013 Toyota Tacoma. The truck will be raised so it is very difficult to lift the hood high enough to place it on the hood stay. It was the perfect solution. The kit comes with everything you need and is pretty easy to install once you know a little how to do it. If this is your first time. Take your time. Read everything twice. Measure everything twice. In any case. The hood stays match the Tacoma hood perfectly. Allows for easy closure while maintaining a secure fit when the hood is open. Also, the hood pops up on its own when it's at about a 15-degree angle, which is nice, and the struts are progressive so they slow the hood's opening speed when it's close to the top for a gentle one to achieve a stop. I know a lot of people there like to make with their own hands. own sets of hood struts. Because gas shock absorbers are easy to find at most auto parts stores and ball joints can be easily purchased online. Homemade will probably be cheaper too. I've done this before with success, but it gives me a headache. Measure first and see where the ball joints will be installed on your vehicle to ensure the hood opens and closes continuously. Then you need to find the right ball mounts for your application. You need to know how many pounds should be in each shock. You need to know how long each shock should last and you need to figure out if the shock is progressive or not. This kit throws all those headaches out the window because everything has been taken care of for you beforehand. All you have to do is install it. The price is right too. I gave this 4 stars for several reasons. The instructions that came with the kit require some work. They're not bad, some things leave something to be desired. For example, there are no instructions on how to actually install and attach the racks to the ball mount. I didn't really care since I've replaced a lot of the hood and trunk stays, but it would be agony for someone who's never done it and is trying to do their first DIY repair. The second reason I gave it 4 stars is the hardware that comes with it. The hardware looks like high quality hardware but they send you exactly 4 screws and 4 rivets. This is quite enough to install all the necessary equipment. Well, anyone who has used rivets as much as I have knows that sometimes they break or don't fit properly, then they have to be removed and can't be reused. So since they send you exactly that many rivets, if one of them breaks you need to contact the manufacturer and see if they send you more than waiting a few days to get them or you end up looking everywhere looking for something similar. rivet to measure. Rivets come in a variety of sizes, shapes, materials, and types. You will have a hard time finding the exact same rivet in place. My advice to anyone trying to do this install is to take your time because breaking any of these rivets is going to give you a headache. Thank god I didn't have any hardware issues so my installation went pretty smoothly.
