Review on 🔒 Umbra Cappa Curtain Rod Set: Stylish Brass Design with Finials, Brackets & Hardware, Adjustable 36-66 Inches by Thomas Drew

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy to install, comes with good hardware, looks like UO!

I first found them at Urban Outfitters for $49 each. I needed 2 and also bought curtain panels from UO so first wanted to see if I could find cheaper rods. Of course I think they are exactly the same and I was able to get 2 for $40 which is $9 less than one at Urban Outfitters! Very excited about that. I also bought gold curtain rings from Revain and they don't fit perfectly, but close enough that you don't notice. I'm very picky and the color matching didn't bother me enough that I didn't use it. They went up so easily and the hardware included is pretty good quality and gold to match the stem. I find it common to replace screws that come with cheaper products as they easily come loose or even break completely. Rods themselves. I used a pencil to mark where the holes should go on the first bracket and used my drill to mount the bracket. I inserted the rod (secure with a turnbuckle to keep the rod from slipping) and pulled it out the other way, holding the other mount in one hand and the bubble level in the other. Once I figured out where the second bracket should be to make it level, I used a pencil to mark the screw locations on the wall. I loosened the turnbuckle and lowered the bar (to prevent bending) and then installed the second bracket. Put on curtain rings (I attached them to the curtain panel beforehand) and insert the rod into the fittings, tighten both sides with the included turnbuckles, and voila! Perfectly even and very easy with one person. I'm sure most people know how to hang a curtain rod, but sometimes I find big things scary when you're alone, so I wanted to run someone through it so they know they can do it too :) Anyway , they look great, work great and look just like Urban Outfitters. I would definitely recommend them and will likely buy more for future repairs.
