Review on πŸ”§ Efficient XXGO 4 Pcs Oscillating Multi Tool Diamond Segment Swing Grit Grout Blades XG4001S: Enhance Precision and Durability! by Ryan Chaplain

Used for 1/4 " grout lines

I am in the process of grouting and re-grouting about 1000 square feet of 18" ceramic tile. For the first 300 feet or so I used half-round carbide blades, which work, but it took forever. I tried a pack of these blades and at least doubled the speed of removing the old grout. I think there are at least two reasons for this. First, the "rocker" blade means you can apply more of the blade to the mortar at any time, while the semi-circular blade only touches a small portion. The second part of the reason is that the blade shaft allows for more clearance between the blade and my rocking power tool. This gives me a lot of flexibility in positioning the tool when going through the grout line; The smaller semi-circular blades don't leave nearly as much room to reposition the tool. I change blades the same frequency as carbide blades, but go about twice the distance in about half the time. one piece. However, I've found a few tricks that help me move faster, especially with these blades. First, I go down one side of the grout line, press the blade against the edge of the tile, and lean back a bit so that the side of the tile that I've already removed some grout from acts as a stabilizer to seal the grout lead tool. I go back and forth 2-3 times and get as deep as I want. Then, in the same way, I cut out the grout on the other side of the line. If I make the first cut deep enough some of the grout will come out in long chunks when I cut the second line. This speeds up working on portions that come out in small portions instead of grinding everything up. Hope that helps.
