I used to buy five similar Chinese hygrometers on eBay. Supposedly degrees Fahrenheit, it was Celsius. They also lacked vents on the back, which actually allowed air with accurate humidity readings to hit the sensor - which is why all five had different readings that differed by up to 8%. They were TERRIBLE. I just received these Rojuna hygrometers and tested 75% humidity in a rubber sealed Pyrex cup (which I use as a "Tupperdore" for my everyday cigars). All five of these hygrometers read 75% accurately and had temperature readings that were within +/- 0.2 degrees of each other and completely matched my Taylor room thermometer/hygrometer connected to a wired sensor. Chinese hygrometers are still mass-produced, but they appear to be of much higher caliber than they are. I am very happy with them - they are used for a couple of important purposes: cigar moisture monitoring (for cheaper everyday smoking) and case moisture monitoring for high quality Martin and Taylor acoustic guitars. Highly recommended.
