Review on 🚽 Valterra-T1003VPM Bladex 3-Inch Waste Valve Body: Metal Handle, Mess-Free RV/Camper/Trailer Waste Valve - Black by Antonio Santiago

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easy installation, clean and dry the tank thoroughly first

Thoroughly clean and dry the black tank before beginning installation. I flushed the tank three times and then opened the valve and removed the cap. This allowed the tube, tank and valve to dry out. Many of the websites I checked for installation recommendations recommended replacing the included hardware with stainless steel. I did it. After 15 years of removing hardware I can only conclude that I wasted my money on stainless steel hardware. (Maybe those sites dealt with inferior products?) The old hardware was removed with no problem. As part of my setup, I changed the orientation of my valve so that it was no longer pointing down. I broke an old valve while driving on very rough roads in western Colorado. Valterra does not provide torque data. Tighten the nuts, but not enough to damage the plastic case.

Pros
  • ALL PARTS INCLUDED: Gaskets, nuts and bolts allow the valve to be fitted out of the box
Cons
  • Everything is OK
