I doubted this trunk would be strong enough or big enough for my needs. I wanted to put in all the bags and cans of cat food, plus cat treats and extra bowls. This trunk is huge! This package was very heavy. I had to pull it over the threshold and then take it to another meeting room. The installation instructions were excellent, except that they forgot to mention that you need a Phillips screwdriver for the second half of the installation. I assembled this thing in about 20 minutes. (For the record, I'm a 62-year-old woman with arthritis in one hand.) Wouldn't it be easier with an assistant and an automatic screwdriver? Of course, but it was good. (I also enjoy building things together.) If you're having trouble building, as I've noticed with some reviewers, you either have a defective unit or you're doing it wrong. A few tips: Arrange the screws etc so you can easily grab the ones you need. I put mine on top of her photos in the instructions. There are identification stickers on the large wooden and metal parts, but the stickers are very small and I missed them at first sight. For the first two steps, make sure all the small holes are facing up. When you put the bottom on, make sure the holes are on the outside of the barrel with the extra small craters around them; This will ensure the screws are inserted face down so they are flush with the wood. Attach the two small hinges and the large hinge to the lid first, then all three to the inside of the trunk. I am very happy with this purchase. I love the look of this suitcase and I love how much it holds. The bottom part inside is very thick and durable. I'm not afraid it will break under the weight I put in it.
