Quite good, but I expected more from it.

Alas, I do not earn money in the photo and therefore I am limited in finances. When buying, I wanted to take a high-quality zoom and portrait lens in one + convinced me to try "ELKA". The lens did not cope with any role. On FF cameras, this lens is probably what you need, but not on crop. I don't like this lens. And I categorically dislike Kenon's marketing policy regarding optics.
The lens was sold for six months. Among 3-4 similar proposals, there were few chances to sell. I had to drop, obscenely, the price. For a portrait I took a fix. For travel and the city 55-250. Happy as an elephant.

Pros

- A very good picture. Just delight! And of course, there is no talk of any chromatism. - The design of the lens is thought out excellently: The body is monolithic, focusing and zoom are internal - dust does not threaten under the lenses, autofocus range switch. - Constantly there is an offer for sale in the secondary market - you can save. Periodically found for 1/2 price - you can save WELL.

Cons

- This lens is not for crop. Too big. Too uncomfortable. As a station wagon - complete slag. As a portrait lens more suitable, there are certain advantages, but also without enthusiasm (f4 still affects). And where is it? - Draws too much attention. It is felt. At first I was embarrassed by coloring. After six months of use, I stopped paying attention. Then I got tired of listening to "Oh! Elka" to the gnashing of teeth. Because of the striped coloring, you feel like a walking advertisement for canon. - Likes only expensive filters. I don’t know how this was achieved, but inexpensive filters (I had a dikom and a couple of measurements in the store) Perceptibly spoil the detail. I have a lens with pixel-by-pixel sharpness and it is under a Chinese filter. THIS glass is not tolerated by China.
