Foam board used to mask and protect double pane window glass for sash and stile refinishing

I'm using this 3/16" thick foam board to mask and protect double pane window glass for the purpose of sash and stile refinishing. The foam board surfaces are soft enough to not scratch the glass, while the sandwiched foam is sturdy enough to protect the glass from an accidental "minor" impact.The foam board was easy to cut with a box cutter knife- with very little friction from the foam or the finished surface layers. Masking tape adheres well to the finished surfaces. Enamel spray paint, when applied to one finished surface, adhered well with little absorption.
