I wasn't sure but was desperate and couldn't afford to go to the Dentist for $600 night watchman. I grind my teeth at night. I tried the mold but messed it up so I emailed the company and they quickly sent me new mold materials. I got a real night guard in about 10 days. It fit great, but I was worried because it was too thick. I emailed customer service and they tried to help me set it up at home but it still felt too greasy. So they sent me another set of molding materials so they could make me a thinner version. Received the new version very quickly and happy! Great customer service and yes this is the same night nylon you would get from a dentist. I know this because I had to pay $600 for security for my daughter. This one is identical. Definitely worth a try if you don't have any special needs and don't need a dentist to adjust.
